01. Introduction

We would like to proudly introduce our Silicate paint “Santorini™”. We had been spent a lot of time to develop this paint until we meet the international standard and high-quality level of silicate paint. And finally we completed the development of our Satorini Silicate paint in 2018.

There have been many field tests and applications in Korean market for one year before we are ready to launch the product into international market. We have gotten lots of positive feedbacks and good reputation from our customers in Korea which encouraged us to enter to global market.

As well explained in the following pages, the silicate present in these paints act as a Silicate binding agent, imparting these paints with a strong and long-lasting bond with the substrate materials. Such paints are considered to be environmentally friendly, durable and weather resistant.

Unlike other usual coating materials, there is no film formation on the substrate material because these paints make a bond directly with the substrate materials. The result is a highly stable, lighter, faster yet durable coating, with particularly convincing long-lasting color with natural effect.

Silicate paint “Santorini™”is the Eco-friendliest paint because all resources of this paint come from natural ingredients and for that reason it could be safe to human.

This product consists of mineral pigments and silicate resin for the building purpose with water paint. Since it is made of strong-alkali materials, it has outstanding effectiveness on sterilizing germs and any other unhealthy materials to human.

Furthermore, because it can pass through into mineral materials such as concrete and bricks and combine chemically with them, it fortifies the surface of building materials and it wouldn’t make any poisonous gas when it gets fire.

Breathable

• While Silicate paint has an ability of ventilation, other acrylic paints have not those kinds of functions. Our paint shows high water vaporing as like human breathing due to the characteristic of the quartz crystal. That enables the air inside the building to get out of structure. The air penetrability of silicate paint will be able to maintain the stable and well condition of the surface of building and it helps to prevent the corrosion and crack of building.

Eco-friendly

• SANTORINI is quite safe to human body since it is not using the volatile organic solvents and made of natural resources. In addition, it is made of eco-friendly ingredients so that it diffuses a negative ion, which is beneficial to painters and residences as well.

Durable

• Ordinary paint only creates the film of paint, but SANTORINI is deeply penetrated into the inside of the concrete wall and it becomes a part of the surface of the wall through chemical reaction. By this process, this product makes the working point more durable and strengthen and moreover it strongly resists against the light and acid enough to endure for 20~50 years.

Good combination with concrete

• As the construction material has an alkaline property, Silicate paint Satorini also has an alkaline property. For this reason, silicate paint gets along with construction material such as concrete. It is suitable to use it with concrete.

Mold-repellant

• Santorini prevents the surface of structure from any kinds of germs and molds. And it can create a sanitary and healthy environment.

Non-flammable

• Different from any other organic paints, Satorini is made based on mineral ingredients. It makes not to get flammable and not emitting toxic gas when it gets fire.

Rendering natural color

• Since general paints mostly use the volatile organic solvents, they are unable to render the true natural color. But Satorini can show real/true color due to its ingredients come from nature. Moreover, its color is quite unartificial and enables the structure to maintain high-quality. The way of painting with Satorini is not covering the wall but penetrating the wall and absorbing and binding with concrete itself.
